Dance, Dance: When Will Instructional Hip-Hop ever End?

I’m pretty sure dancing is hot. We live in the age of instant gratification. New stars are born overnight. Hell, anyone half-way decent at choreography can achieve fame and fortune from appearing on a reality TV show about dancing – think Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, or even the short-lived Wade Robson Project. Viral Videos as an Art Form: “Watermelon Nights” to “Chocolate Rain”

I’ll admit that I’m a sucker for flashy ads and cheesy catchphrases. So a few weeks ago, when the clip of the day on Yahoo News featured a gaggle of smiling watermelons with the words “Watermelon Nights” printed at the top, I couldn’t help put click to see what the fuss was about. (more…)
